  • Europe in practice

Linel Escaffre While the Directive Qualification is about to change our professional scene, it seemed us inescapable that Young Chartered Accountants and Young Auditors of each European country gather in order to exchange about the future of their profession, to create their own network of young European professionals and to lay the basis of a European organisation including the different national associations representative of the young professional.

So ANECS – Association Nationale des Experts- comptables et Commissaires aux comptes Stagiaires – (representative association for young chartered accountants and young auditors 3 years before diploma) and CJEC – Club des Jeunes Experts-comptables et Commissaires aux comptes – (representative association for young chartered accountants and young auditors 5 years after diploma) invite you to participate at the YAAM 2007 which will take place at the 62nd Congress of the Chartered Accountants’ Order at Lille, France, on Friday 5th and Saturday 6th of October.

You will be sponsored all along the event by a young chartered accountant or auditor during the working sessions as well as the recreation times.

So do not hesitate anymore: join us !
Europe, we’ll live it, we must do it !

The city :

Lille was born out of the water of the Deûle river, a slow-flowing tributary situated on a major route between the great Flemish towns and the Champagne fairs. The city initially developed at a transhipment point on the Deûle, which required boats to be unloaded until they reached a more navigable section of the river. The city’s origins were therefore as a port, which preceded its role as a merchant town.
It then became French in 1667 and is today, a cultural capital at the crossroads of Europe.
France’s fourth largest metropolitan area, an international crossroads and a dynamic financial centre, Lille is also an artistic and historic city. In 2004, it was designated as a European Culture Capital. Since then, Lille has become an important tourist destination, recognised for its welcoming living environment, well-preserved heritage and active cultural life.
